Report: Stephen A. Smith & Skip Bayless Want to Reunite on ESPN’s First Take; How Skip Will Use That Leverage to Break The Bank Again (Video)

Skip Bayless has one of the best contracts in sports media.

4-year $25 million to just do one show. Most sports media personalities if they are getting paid that much are doing multiple things.

For example, Stephen A. Smith’s reported 5-year and almost $40 million new deal with ESPN literally has him juggling about 8-10 jobs at the company.

It isn’t a secret that Smith would love to have Bayless back and that is a great thing for Bayless’ wallet. Front Office Sports has the report.

Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless are poised to pull off a possible reunion at ESPN’s “First Take,” sources told Front Office Sports.

Bayless’ current contract with Fox Sports expires in 2020, said sources. Smith refers to Bayless as his “brother from another mother.” The former “First Take” sparring partners could reunite on the “Embrace Debate” morning show that turned them both into national stars.

“They both want to make it happen. I’m just not sure ESPN will hit Fox’s number,” said one source.

This is a demand business and it would be in Skip’s best interest to have two major companies bidding for his services.

It will lead to a potential pay raise for him no matter where he ends up.
