Ohio State Star and defensive end Chase Young, who many have as the number 1 overall pick in next years NFL draft has been suspended indefinitely for potential NCAA rules violation dating back to 2018 the university just announced.
According to a release from the school per ESPN, Young will not play in Saturdays game versus Maryland due to a NCAA issue from last season and that the Department of Athletics is looking further into the matter.
Chase who leads the FBS with 13.5 sacks has GM’s all over the NFL wanting his presence within their locker-rooms; That’s nevertheless if he decides to forgo his last season of NCAA eligibility.
It remains to be seen how long Chase will be out for the number 1 ranked Buckeyes, but as of right now as mentioned before, he is suspended until the NCAA matter is resolved.
Chase Young tweeted a response to the allegations stating,
“Unfortunately, I wont be playing this week because of an NCAA eligibility issue. I made a mistake last year by accepting a loan from a family friend before my freshman year at OSU. I repaid it in full last summer an I’m working with the University and NCAA to get back on the field as soon as possible.
