UFC Superstar Francis Ngannou had a chance recently to respond to one of boxing’s pound for pound top prospects Tyson Fury in reference to a potential match between two.
Francis told TMZ Sports,
long before he became an MMA fighter, he had dreams of becoming a boxing champ — and he believes he has the skill set to compete with a champ like Fury
Francis says he’s 200 percent all in on making a bout happen with Tyson. Speaking of Tyson; Francis has been training with former Heavyweight Champion Mike Tyson and Mike has already went onboard willing to train Francis if Tyson Fury was willing to accept the two-fight deal.
So what’s the catch?
In order to make this happen Francis would want Tyson to agree to a 2 fight-deal which includes a fight inside the Octagon first, then a second match that would take place inside the boxing ring.
Per TMZ, Ngannou has already instructed his management team to get in touch with Fury’s team to see if this deal can actually happen.
What Does Dana White Think about a potential fight?
Dana White admits he’s a huge Tyson Fury fan, but insists on wanting Tyson to focus on boxing first before climbing into the octagon. What’s interesting is that Dana White is actually promoting a boxing campaign in 2020 called Zuffa Boxing. Is there a possibility that Dana White could be waiting to launch his boxing campaign to endorse a 2 fight deal with Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou? Dana White would make bank if this was indeed to happen.
