Titans…Texans…winner receives an outright in the AFC South with 2 games left to go.
Can it get any bigger than this?
Let’s talk about it.
1. Derrick Henry’s Hamstring Injury Something to Keep a Close Eye On
Derrick Henry has been the oil for the Titans’ offensive sports car during the last 5+ weeks or so.
But one thing that’s been hampering him for 2 weeks now, especially last week’s win in Oakland, is a nagging hamstring injury.
As many of you know, hamstring injuries are very very tricky to manage. They can feel fine one minute, then run for a couple minutes, and they start to give you some annoying pain.
For a back that’s expected to receive a lot of carries week in and week out like Henry, a hamstring injury might be the worst type of injury to suffer from.
For precautionary reasons, the Titans held Henry out of practice Wednesday through Friday, in hopes of Henry’s hamstring benefiting from the extra rest.
I’m sure Henry has been in the training room every day, receiving around the clock treatment on that hamstring so no sort of complications arise during this important AFC South matchup.
We’ll all be keeping a watchful eye on it, so stay tuned.
2. Ryan Tannehill’s First Big Game As a Titan
We’ve said it over and over again, Ryan Tannehill has been the saving grace of this football team.
However, this Sunday’s game against the Texans will mark as Tannehill’s first huge game as a Titan.
There’s no evidence to suggest his recent explosive play will come to an abrupt end, but this storyline deserves to be paid attention to.
