The Lakers went down 111-104 in Milwaukee last night but everything is still all good for them as they stand at 24-5 and have one of the best duos in the NBA in LeBron James and Anthony Davis. This is a season where LA can win their first championship since 2009-2010 but AD could still leave as a free agent in the offseason.
TMZ Sports spoke with Knicks legend, Charles Oakley, on his take about AD and doesn’t feel that he can lead a team as the first option. He cited how AD couldn’t do it while with the Pelicans and it’ll still apply anywhere else he goes. Oakley feels that the Lakers are winning so Davis should stay in LA anyway.
The NBA Hall of Famer believes that players who can make these kind of moves and still win as a No. 1 option with other teams are LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, and Kevin Durant. Oakley is right on here. Davis is an absolute beast but needs more help around him to win in the postseason. This was definitely evident in New Orleans.
