Arizona Cardinals DB Josh Shaw was suspended by the NFL indefinitely after betting on NFL games.
Shaw, who is currently on injured reserve, has been suspended through at least the 2020 NFL season after placing bets on teams, including his own.
According to ESPN’s David Purdum, Shaw placed a three-team parlay bet on Nov. 10th which included the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cardinals game.
The bet, which Shaw lost, was on the second halves of three Week 10 games, which included the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who were leading the Cardinals 17-13 at halftime.
The Bucs were 1-point favorites for the second half, but failed to cover the second-half spread as they went on to defeat the Cardinals 30-27.
The league’s investigation found that Shaw did not use inside information to make his bets, nor were any of the games compromised.
Shaw remains on the Cardinals at this time and the NFL has declined comment on the specifics of the wagers according to the report.
