White privilege has been an epidemic since the beginning of time and this was evident in Texas recently, According to KXII-TV, 33-year-old teacher Lynn Burge is receiving no jail time after pleading guilty to having sex with a 16 and 18-year-old boy.
Burge taught at Muenster High School in Cooke County as she will only receive five years of probation and a $2,500 fine for each offense. She is no longer employed at the school but will have to give up her teaching license. The other disgrace is that she won’t have to register as a sex offender.
Part of the plea for Burge included pleading guilty to two counts of improper relationship between an educator and a student and another count of online solicitation of a minor. Burge is also a married mother with two children. Burge’s relations with the 16-year-old boy included sending five nude photos to him on Snapchat in October 2017. She even went “backroading” with him which included drinking alcohol before taking the boy to her home to perform oral sex on him.
The boy reportedly said that no one was at Burge’s home. Burge claimed that she didn’t remember having sex with him at all due to her being intoxicated. The incident with the 18-year-old boy occurred in March of 2018 at Burge’s sister’s home. Burge went backroading with this boy as well and had unprotected sex with him, according to the Gainesville Daily Register.
Burge was finally arrested for her crimes in September after a tip was submitted to the Department of Family and Protective Services.
“From the beginning of this ordeal, Lynn took ownership of her mistakes, and her mistakes do not define who she is,” said Burge’s attorney, Rick Hagen. “How she’s responded to those mistakes does, and she’s responded in exactly the correct manner.”
It’s completely disgusting how Burge received no jail time for her actions. Our justice system in this country is a complete joke. Flip the page for KXII-TV news video of her case.
