The New York Giants have been less than impressive this season, their most recent loss against the Philadelphia Eagles adds to their current losing streak of 9 as they fight against the Cincinnati Bengals for the NFL’s worst team.
As the season winds down and players on non-contenders are hit with the harsh reality of another wasted season in an unforgiving league where tomorrow is never promised comes carelessness. Enter Janoris Jenkins who found himself in the news again after engaging in a Twitter feud on Wednesday.
This battle with a fan on social media might have flown under the radar had it not taken place at exactly the time Janoris Jenkins should have been focused on his team’s practice despite his non-participation in drills that day.
Instead of performing his football duties for the day, Janoris Jenkins used his Twitter account near the start of practice to promote his achievements by posting his personal stats while playing for the 2-11 New York Giants.
Of course, this made Janoris Jenkins the subject of criticism on Twitter and ultimately started the back and forward between a Twitter user and Jenkins.
Coach Pat Shurmur wasn’t too happy about what had taken place with Janoris Jenkins when he should have been focused on practice, he said as much while at the podium responding to questions about the incident.
