Nick Cannon is not exactly a solidified battle rapper, but that didn’t stop him from releasing a diss track directed at rap legend Eminem in defense of his ex-wife Mariah Carey.
The beef between Mariah Carey and Eminem spans back to the early 2000s during Slim Shady’s early rap career even before Mariah was involved with Nick Cannon.
The track titled ‘The Invitation’ aims for Eminem’s personal life, making mention of his adopted daughter whom he took in as a result of his relationship with his daughter Hallie Scott Mathers.
Nick Cannon entered the saga after Eminem made mention of Mariah Carey in a recent verse on a song called ‘Lord Above’ which is a response to an interview done with T.I. and Cannon where Nick detailed his feelings when he heard the song “The warning” in 2009.
There seems to be no end in sight for this rift between Mariah Carey and Eminem, which has now been taken over by Nick Cannon who feels his ex-wife is being disrespected. Expect more music to be released addressing this decade-old problem between two legendary artists and one genius actor, comedian, and businessman in Nick Cannon.
