If you recall last March, Russell Westbrook, who was then still playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder on an away trip got into a altercation with two fans in the crowd that heckled him and the team for a long duration of the game.
During the game, the male known as Shane Keisel according to witnesses and fans around the scene heckled directing at Russell Westbrook the phrase,
“Get down on your knees like you used to”
This racial statement completely set Westbrook off prompting Russ to utter back at the fan and his wife,
“I promise you,” Westbrook yelled at Keisel. “You think I’m playing? I swear to God. I swear to God. I’ll f–k you up. You and your wife. I’ll f–k you up.”
Keisel claims he only told Westbrook
“wrap his knees to be better able to play later on in the game.”
To no surprise Shane Keisel who has since deleted his twitter page had a previous history of directing his hate including physical threats and dislike for Westbrook via online.
After the notable ordeal the Utah Jazz who have not be player friendly towards African Americans in the past issued a lifetime ban towards the fan.
