Antonio Brown has been out of the NFL for over two months now after the Patriots released him after one game. This came after allegations of sexual misconduct and assault surfaced. Leading up to AB’s release, he forced his way to be traded out of Oakland after almost getting physical with General Manager, Mike Mayock.
AB recently met with league investigators about these allegations to determine a possible return to the NFL. No decision has been made as of now. According to CBS Sports though, the Patriots wouldn’t rule out bringing him back to the team. Players and coaches on New England are both open to this as well. As far as the NFL allowing AB to play, there is no timetable in sight on a decision.
Sources added that owner Robert Kraft has not shown significant interest in making the move to bring back the controversial wide receiver. It’s been pretty evident that Tom Brady is open to AB coming back as he’s always commenting on his Instagram posts. AB has also continued to do a good job of staying in shape following his release from the team.
In AB’s only game with the Pats, it came in a 42-0 route of Miami where he caught four catches for 56 yards and one touchdown. New England’s interest in AB is definitely something to look out for but in the end, how long it takes for the NFL to finish investigating his off-field issues is the real factor in how soon he will be on a team again.
