LeBron James is a well known Ohio State fan who has been seen in attendance at many OSU sporting events over the years, so it comes as no surprise that the school would like to highlight their connection to the Ohio native.
Recently alumni basketball jerseys with King James name and number 23 went on sale via NIKE, under normal circumstances this would be okay except LeBron James did not take classes Ohio State he never went to any college.
There’s no doubt that if LeBron James had chosen to attend a college that Ohio State would be among his top choices of schools to attend, but the fact remains that James went to the NBA directly from high school, therefore, isn’t a graduate of Ohio State or any college for that matter.
Nonetheless, Nike and Ohio State are selling merchandise with LeBron James’ name attached they have decided to bend the definition of alumni to capitalize off the Ohio State, LeBron James connection.
