The Knicks just fired Head Coach, David Fizdale as NY stands at 4-18. Yes, he had a 21-83 record over the last year and a half but this organization is a dumpster fire that will make any coach a scapegoat for their horrible decisions and play on the court. James Dolan needs to sell the team as well if New York wants to stop being the embarrassment of the NBA.
Now, many Knicks fans are calling for former Warriors Head Coach, Mark Jackson, to be hired. He’s a native New Yorker who played with the team when he first got into the NBA from 1987-1992 and then had another stint with them 2001-2002. In total, he played 19 NBA seasons.
Fans also give Jackson credit for being the one who built the Warriors’ dynasty. He was in Golden State from 2011-2014 but was fired after a first round exit against the rival Clippers in seven games. Jackson seems that he would be a good fit for the Knicks on paper but what good would this be if they don’t make the right adjustments to their roster? If that doesn’t happen, every head coach in NY will be left as the sacrificial lamb who gets fired.
