After news broke of Gabrielle Union’s departure from America’s Got Talent despite being one of the show’s most visible personalities at the time, many suspected foul play behind the scenes. These theories were later confirmed and we now know that Gabrielle Union might still be on the show had she not raised concerns to higher-ups about toxic behavior in the workplace.
Since Gabrielle Union’s departure, many public figures have spoken in support of Union including her husband Dwyane Wade who directed multiple tweets at those involved with AGT.
Regrettably, support the support hasn’t been across the board, the show’s host Terry Crews is facing criticism over his failure to strongly stand behind Gabrielle Union. Terry Crews devoted only a very short tweet to Gabrielle Union’s cause leaving many feeling Terry Crews left her out in the cold.
This lack of strong backing may come as a surprise to Gabrielle Union who publicly stood by Terry Crews in the throes of his stand against sexual harassment. You may remember Terry Crews accused Hollywood exec Adam Venit of caressing his crotch at a party in front of Crews own wife. The lawsuit filed by Terry Crews was settled in 2018.
