Recently, Colin Kaepernick and Nike continued their collaboration in a major way as a special pair of customized black Air Force Ones were released in honor of Kaep. The tongue of the shoe displayed a capital K while the back of it had Kaepernick’s face.
One fan of these rare and hot sneakers is the legendary Janet Jackson. Jackson took to social media to show her feet kicked up while she was in London as she was rocking the Kaepernick Nikes. She thanked him for sending her the sneakers and said that she loves them.
In 2018, Nike and Kaepernick announced their deal that they had on the table together which happened under the radar for a while leading up to that point. It was for over $50 million as they soon released a customized all-black Kaepernick jersey. Of course, these sold out in a hurry as well. It’s great to see Kaepenick and Nike doing so well together after he was blackballed by the NFL. He should have never been treated like this for simply peacefully kneeling during the national anthem to protest the constant racism and police brutality in our country.
