Last weekend’s divisional round matchup between the Texans and Chiefs was one for the ages. Kansas City was down at home, 24-0, but that’s when Patrick Mahomes and his squad started to turn things up and before you know it, they were leading 28-24. Mahomes finished with 321 passing yards and five touchdowns as KC won easily, 51-31.
One huge Chiefs fan did not get to witness this comeback despite coming to Arrowhead Stadium for the game and that is a Twitter user who goes by Big Buck Chuck. He says he’s brought bad luck to the team in the past such as the 2013 wildcard game vs the Colts. When the game was getting out of hand, he decided to go home and see what happens then. At that point, greatness was witnessed by the fans who actually decided to stand by their Chiefs.
Mahomes was asked in the postgame press conference about the fan and he jokingly said to stay at home for the AFC Championship Game vs the Titans. Chuck also replied jokingly to this on Twitter by saying it was rude. Mahomes thanked him by saying he did what was best for the Kingdom.
You gotta stick by your team no matter the deficit. Big comebacks are starting to become more frequent in the NFL now and you just never know when you could see a classic game unfold. Flip the page for news video of Chuck leaving along with his interaction with Mahomes on Twitter, courtesy of KMBC.
