Tom Brady and his Patriots fell early in the playoffs this year as they went down at home to the Titans, 20-13. Brady’s last play of the game was a pick six and that may have been his last play as a Patriot for his career.
Brady returning to New England in 2020 is very likely to happen but is also open to testing the free agent market, according to CBS Sports. Prior to this, rumors have been swirling about Brady possibly being an LA Charger. The future HOFer is reported to be “prepared to discuss a future with teams beyond the New England Patriots.”
The report added that this process may ultimately result in Brady coming back to the Patriots but it’s “far from certain.” Brady and his camp at this point will see what his options are and measure which teams will put him in position to win another Super Bowl. Testing free agency is also only “human nature” for Brady. He simply wants to see what possibilities are out there.
Brady is the best quarterback to ever do it with six Super Bowl rings. Should he end up leaving the Pats, their fans can’t even be mad. He turned that franchise into a dynasty and we probably won’t see a run like this for a while. It’ll be interesting to see how real the Chargers rumor is as we get closer to free agency in March.
