Twitter Reacts to Stephen Curry Revealing That He Wanted To Be Drafted By Knicks, Not The Warriors (Tweets-Vids)

In a crazy turn of events, Stephen Curry revealed something that probably is going to make fans wonder and they’re left with nothing but a what-if. Curry shared that he wanted to be drafted by New York.

Decades of Knicks fans have come at this point and only a few can say that they witnessed the Knicks winning it all. These days, victories are hard to come by and the team hasn’t tasted the playoffs in almost a decade. Warriors’ star Stephen Curry shared the following, which is enough to make you scream — if you’re a Knicks fan of course.

“I wanted to go to New York and thought I was going to New York,” Curry told Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes. “At the draft—in the green room—like, ‘Oh, get to the eight spot and New York can get me.’ And then I got the call from Larry Riley, like ‘We’re going to pick you in the seventh spot.'”

*Insert deep sigh for the fans*

This goes without saying but draftees don’t control this part of the narrative – it just simply wasn’t meant to be. If you dig deeper and wonder how else the teams could’ve selected draftees that night, the entire thing would have thrown off the past decade of the NBA.

Unfortunately, that’s something no one could’ve foreseen.
