That Magic were up by 10 in the 4th and the fact that the Knicks were able to sneak away with this win might show some signs of something… just something.
Yesterday was February 6… aka the trade deadline came to an end at 3 pm ET. The Knicks traded Marcus Morris and along with that came Moe Harkless, who happens to be a New Yorker, as well as draft picks. They’ll be getting a pick in the first round of this year’s draft and a second round pick in the 2021 draft. It’s pretty crazy to see the Knicks have 7 first round picks over the next four years. Knicks’ fans – your time is coming.
It might’ve been tough to part ways with quite possibly their best player but let’s see what they have up their sleeves.
Last night’s game showed a lot of grit and it was a good preview to see what the team will be like without Morris, as he covered a lot of ground. If you take a look at the box score, Julius Randle scored 22 on the night, Taj Gibson had 19, and Elfrid Payton with 15.
Rookie RJ Barrett also returned and was in the double digits at the end of the night with 12 points.
16-36 is a record that’s hard to look at and the motivation to go out and compete has to be even harder. This is their 3rd win in a row so, let’s see where they’ll finish towards the end of the season. But last night, they rallied hard.
The Knicks face the Pistons tomorrow night at 7:30 PM ET.
