Former NBA star Antonio Davis spoke recently with TMZ sports about the best duo’s ever in the history of the NBA.
Whenever this discussion is entertained there’s always discussion and respectful debates between Kobe and Shaq putting up a fight versus MJ and Pippen.
We know the history between Scottie Pippen and MJ.
Jordan being arguably the GOAT, depending on what day in age you grew up watching basketball, and playing alongside and arguably the greatest on ball and perimeter defender caused havoc night in, night out on opposing teams with the bulls infamous triangle offense.
The other side of the debate features Kobe and Shaq.
Kobe who some consider the greatest Laker of all time and game who is so reminiscent of MJ, is no slouch by any means . 5 time NBA champion including being part of a 3 peat with the most dominant big man in the history of the NBA, some would agree if this unstoppable duo could have remained intact under Phil Jackson, the Lakers dynasty could have potentially sought after 3-5 more championships under the Kobe Shaq regime.
Nevertheless, Antonio Davis had other thoughts on the Kobe Shaq comparisons and mentions of being in the greatest duo debate telling TMZ,
“Shaq can’t come out and guard nobody!”
Davis continued with his argument stating,
“I don’t care what nobody says,” Davis tells us. “Hands down. I don’t care.”
Davis is validating his argument on the basis of Shaq having to guard someone, but to counter that argument who between MJ and Pippen is going to bang in the paint with the Big Diesel?
