As for Philly, they finally shore up their secondary, which has looked embarrassing at times in recent years.
The assets they gave up? Only a couple of meager mid round picks in this year’s draft.

Tom Brady Signs With Buccaneers
Oh man, look I’ll be 100% honest with you here, I didn’t expect this.
I thought Brady would end up heading back to New England, to play under Bill Belichick, and his good ole buddy Robert Kraft. All the reports that kept flying back and forth, I thought it was all crap. I’m not disrespecting the hard workers of the media who reported every bit of “news” about Brady’s free agency process, but so many different reports came out, that the idea of Brady leaving just didn’t sound believable to me.
Now that Brady’s move to Tampa is official, we can start talking about how fun this Buccaneers offense could be.
The wide receiver duo of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin is the best in the league, Cameron Brate and OJ Howard give Brady 2 big bodied targets at tight end, and Bruce Arians’s past work with pocket quarterbacks suggest Brady should be comfortable with Arians running the show.
This is a big win for the Buccaneers, and an even bigger win for football fans across the world.
We’re now getting Brady vs. Brees twice a year, Brady vs. Ryan twice a year, do I have to say any more?

Ryan Tannehill Re-Signs With Tennessee
Tannehill’s story is downright incredible.
You get shipped off to a new city, knowing you’re the backup on your new team, uncertain if you’ll get another chance to prove yourself.
Once Tannehill got his chance, he not only had the best season of his career, but some of his final numbers crept into historic territory. Due to the overwhelming success Tannehill had in 2019, Titans GM Jon Robinson put his full attention towards bringing Tannehill back long term.
Once the final numbers for Tannehill’s deal was released though, it got me thinking.
Is Tannehill really worth this much?
Now let me say this once again, the salary cap is expected to rise substantially through the next 10 years or so, meaning concern about the money is Tannehill’s new deal shouldn’t be so high early on.
But the thing is, it’s hard to get behind giving Tannehill this much money, since considering the means of regression, Tannehill’s overall numbers could look a LOT different this upcoming season.
The success Derrick Henry had made things a lot easier for Tannehill and the passing game, that’s common knowledge. But it’s when Henry didn’t have that success, is when the passing game didn’t look too hot.
I’ll end with this, I believe Tannehill’s worth is more than a game manager. His aggressiveness throwing down the field and doing the little things that Marcus Mariota didn’t, really gave that Titans offense the jumpstart it needed.
Still though, that’s a lot of money.

Philip Rivers Signs With Indianapolis
This move has been in talks since before the combine in February, it only made sense that it came to fruition.
The Colts need some sort for respectable quarterback play, bottom line. But can you really expect that out of Rivers?
Let’s not forget, Rivers was a turnover machine last season. His 20 interceptions last season were the most he’s had since 2016, and his total of 23 touchdowns was his worst total since 2007(!). His arm isn’t the same, expected when you age, and he’s just not the same guy that set records in San Diego.
It’s hard to see Rivers somehow finding the magical fountain of youth in Indy, but he has the foundation there to maybe do so.
Indy’s offensive line is arguably the best in the league, and I’m sure Chris Ballard will address the issue of the lack of a quality WR2, plus that defense isn’t too shabby either.
But I believe the Colts could’ve done a lot better chasing after Tom Brady. Brady’s older in age, but brings a lot more positives to the table than Rivers.
It’s only a 1 year deal in Indy for Rivers, so we’ll keep our opinions open for change until the end of next season. Until then, I don’t really like this move for a Colts team that’s on the edge of contending.
