An NBA camera operator who worked the Utah Jazz/Detroit Pistons game on March 7 as well shooting Jazz locker room footage is now in a medically induced coma following being diagnosed with Cornavius.
According to Yahoo Sports, the game the cameraman, who is in his 50’s worked, was just four days before the NBA suspended the league indefinitely.
The cameraman has worked for years as part of the broadcast at NBA games in the Little Caesars Arena.
It’s unknown when, where, or how the man contracted the virus, but he’s been hospitalized since March 18.
The Jazz’s, Rudy Gobert, and Donavan Mitchell have both tested positive for the coronavirus. Christian Wood of the Pistons has also tested positive for the virus as well. The NBA suspended its season after Gobert tested positive on March 11.
