Josh Gordon, fresh off another substance-abuse suspension, is ready to suit up once again.
ESPN reported that Gordon intends to play this season, but he’ll have to gain permission from Roger Goodell to do so.
Gordon has been suspended from the league since December of 2019, due to repeated violations of the performance-enhancing substance and substance abuse policy. While the new CBA has gotten rid of suspensions for players who test positive for Marijuana, it doesn’t wipe away any upstanding suspensions before the new CBA was ratified.
Gordon is an elite talent, but it doesn’t mean much if he can’t stay on the field, regardless if the means of suspension seem fair or not.
