Two football players for Eastern Washington University round themselves kicked off the team after trying their hand in the world of crime on their own campus.
James Durr and his teammate Jordan White are facing charges ranging from identity theft and making false statements to the police after previously posturing as witnesses to a crime they had committed.
A student at the University by the name of Solae Swenson reported several items had been stolen from her dorm room, James Durr and Jordan White voluntarily offered information on the incident in what later turned out to be an attempt to thwart the investigation efforts of the police.
The bandits, in this case, Jordan White and James Durr might have gotten away with $200 in cash, a debit card, several gift cards, and a driver’s license had it not been for a few meddling EWU soccer players blowing their cover to the police.
After statements from members of the EWU soccer team, authorities learned that James Durr and Jordan White were the actual suspects responsible for multiple failed electronic transfers and theft.
James Durr has been charged with four counts of identity theft and one count of making false statements to the police, as mentioned previously James Durr and Jordan White have been dismissed from the team.
