I don’t care, good on Eric Dier for taking up for his family
Once Tottenham lost their 5th round FA Cup matchup against Norwich City, Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier had some business with a certain rude fan.
The fan was reportedly abusing Dier’s family in the stands, which obviously didn’t fly with Dier one bit. This all came after the same fan kept heckling Dier throughout the match, which led to Dier’s brother trying to calm the fan down, then to the abuse the fan aimed at Dier’s brother.
Dier jumped into the stands, climbed over a good number of seats, just to reach the disrespectful fan and exchange some words.
Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho said after the match, that Dier was wrong for handling the situation the way he handled it, which is hilariously ironic considering the rather hysterical spats Mourinho has found himself in during his past runs as a manager.
We won’t get into that, but we will says this before we leave.
If you’re a fan, you have absolutely no sort of right to disrespect another player’s FAMILY during a game, anywhere in fact.
So don’t give me the “he shouldn’t have handled it the way he handled it”, I guarantee Mourinho would’ve done the same thing if one of his family was getting abused by some random fans.
