After drafting Ohio native, Joe Burrow, with the number one overall pick, this should come as no surprise to anyone. Dalton spent nine years in Cincy and while they’ve had some success in the regular season, the Bengals were 0-4 with Dalton under center in the playoffs.
It’s the proper time to move on for both parties and it also saves the Bengals a nice chunk of cash.
And just like that, with the release of Andy Dalton, $17.7 million comes off the Bengals’ salary cap. https://t.co/oQ69H6Uyou

There are reports the Patriots and Bill Belichick could be interested in Dalton.
Is it possible this could be the move Belichick has been waiting for?
According to Daniel Coyle from SportsBettingDime, despite Tom Brady’s departure to Tampa Bay, Bill Belichick still has the best 2020 odds (+800) to be the NFL Coach of the Year and the odds may increase if they bring Dalton into the fold.
