Talks have begun for a possible super-fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.
According to ESPN’s Mark Kriegel, the two biggest international stars in British boxing today, are working towards getting a deal done to have the fight in Saudi Arabia. Although the fight wouldn’t go down in the United Kingdom, which would totally be an insane atmosphere by the way, this fight would have the same amount of potential as Fury-Wilder.
Speaking of Wilder, his next fight is scheduled to be against Fury, the 2nd fight in as many months for the two boxing superstars.
A lot of logistics would have to be worked out, mostly money and the issue regarding the previously scheduled 3rd fight between Fury and Wilder, in order for a potential Fury-Joshua bout to go down.
Wilder just had biceps surgery and might need more time to rest up, so that step aside money might be looking better.
Whether it does or doesn’t happen, a fight between those 2 would be one of the more hyped fights in the last decade. I don’t think it’d be in the same realm as Fury-Wilder 2, but it’d certainly be a bout I’d pay money to watch.
