Former NFL receiver & first round pick out of Florida, Percy Harvin, who has a career playing for the Vikings, Jets, Seahawks, and Bills once again is attempting to make an NFL comeback according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson.
You can bet your last dollar the team Harvin has interest in… Yes the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Percy told Anderson,
“I had a dream a while ago when 12 (Tom Brady) was with the Patriots, that I would play for Tom Brady. That was well before the pandemic & he went to the Bucs, my comeback was already in the works. But I’m ready for any offense that’ll just let me go”
The Bucs have recently acquired Tom Brady this offseason, and most notably just traded for Rob Gronkowski yesterday evening which shouldn’t be a surprise.
There had been speculation that Gronkowski and Brady wanted to reunite, but in a different environment from the Belicheck regime in New England.
Imagine a healthy Harvin in the slot playing next to Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Cameron Brate, OJ Howard and Gronkowski led by Tom Brady …. Scary
Percy never officially retired from the NFL, but did attempt a comeback in 2016 with the Buffalo Bills, ultimately leaving the game of football after suffering from injury issues. Harvin has a history of suffering from migraines, and smoking weed every game which had altered his career before.
Harvins agent told Josina, he’s in the process of taking calls for his client with teams looking for a receiver with NFL experience.
Let’s just hope Harvin has his mind in the right place, and is physically healthy to take the duration of a full NFL season after being absent from the game for over 3 years.
