With the lack of live sports nowadays, ‘The Last Dance’ has brought us all together. If you’re 30 plus, most of the information is just a refresher, but for the younger generation, it’s a complete eye-opener.
There’s a ton to digest from Jerry Krause’s ego to Scottie Pippen’s contract to Michael Jordan’s gambling.
At the end of the Bulls run, they defeated the Utah Jazz in back-to-back NBA Finals. So, naturally, it would make sense to have the legendary John Stockton take part in the documentary.
However, Stockton was very reluctant at first about being apart of a “Michael Jordan puff piece.”
Director Jason Hehir explained the challenge of getting Stockton to finally give in on The Dan Patrick Show.
“On Tuesday, March 10 we interviewed him in Spokane,” Hehir said, “It was so deep into this COVID crisis that we decided that I shouldn’t fly to Spokane because we’re afraid that flight would get grounded indefinitely. So we had someone from out there, a stringer from Seattle drive in and do that interview.”
Even though it does go deep into some things, Stockton wasn’t wrong it is a commercial for Michael Jordan.
It’ll be interesting to see how much love Jordan gets from Stockton.
