LaVar Ball, always one to shake the table, is doing so once again, comparing his son LaMelo to Zion Williamson.
During a recent appearance on Complex’s Load Management podcast, LaVar compared his son LaMelo’s popularity to that of Zion’s, who happens a teammate of LaVar’s other son Lonzo, on the Pelicans.
Melo’s (aura) is better. Because Melo is worldwide. You take Zion to Germany or Lithuania or Latvia or Estonia or London, they don’t know who he is. You take Melo over there, you know who he is. Like I said, take him over there and see. Ask who Zion is, they’ll look at you crazy like ‘Who is Zion?’”
LaMelo Ball has played the past few years overseas in Lithuania and Australia and is projected to be a top selection in the upcoming NBA draft.
Zion Williamson meanwhile was the number one pick out Duke and has been hyped as the second coming of LeBron James.
An interesting take form LaVar.
