The rumors are true; Mike Tyson is returning to a boxing ring.
“The Baddest Man on the Planet” is 53 years old, and he’s getting back in shape to stage a comeback. The last time Tyson stepped in a boxing ring to fight was 2005, so he needs to shake off 15 years of ring rust.
If Tyson’s training videos are any indication, though, he still has some juice left in his punches, showing off his speed and power.
Last month on Instagram, Tyson talked about returning to boxing, his training, and his future plans.
I want to go to the gym and get in shape to be able to box three or four-round exhibitions for some charities and stuff.
Some charity exhibitions, make some money, help some homeless and drug-affected motherf***** like me.
I do two hours on cardio, I do the bike and the treadmill for an hour, then I do some light weights, 300, 250 reps. Then I start my day with the boxing thing, I go in there and hit the mitts, 30 minutes, 25 minutes, start getting in better condition.
I’m starting to put those combinations together. I’m in pain, I feel like three guys kicked the s*** out of me.”
Tyson is serious about this comeback, and it will interesting to see how loos when he finally does step back into the ring.
