One of the best parts of the “Last Dance” on ESPN has been Michael Jordan’s real-time reactions to his peer’s versions of certain events, and Jordan gave us another classic, meme-worthy response.
Gary Payton was discussing the 1996 NBA Finals, where his Seattle SuperSonics took on Jordan’s Bulls, and Payton was explaining how, when he was put on Jordan to guard later in the series, he slowed him down.
Jordan’s version of how things went down was different, and he responded to Payton’s explanation of events with a hearty laugh.
Jordan may laugh but the facts are he was far less effective when guarded by Payton.
