In the world of professional wrestling there is a very fine line in regard to critiques. Because wrestlers live out their character on a full-time basis (that is the big difference between them and actors) people sometimes can’t separate the character from the real person.
If you want to believe YouTuber JD From NY when he is speaking on a wrestler, he is speaking on the character not the person. In this instance he speaks on how he finds the Alexa Bliss character boring and compares it to having boring sex. The clip is from a troll account but made it’s way to Bliss who was upset at the correlation.
Other wrestlers and her fans came to her defense.
I don’t know JD, but I’d imagine the reason he is popular is that he makes wild takes like this. It is the way most new age media are popular on digital platforms. Did he go too far? Probably and could he have made his point without bringing up sex into it? Absolutely, but probably in his eyes that wouldn’t have been as provocative. It appears this is his thing, which isn’t surprising.
My only suggestion to Ms. Bliss and others in this situation, while it may seem that calling the person out will shed some light on the negative aspects of the reporting, a lot of times it just give them a bigger platform and more fans, because we live in a twisted society that celebrates this type of media.
Whatever the case it has caused the clip to trend on social media.
