Doug Williams Says The Redskins Didn’t Sign Colin Kaepernick Because They Were Scared of Trump

Well, we have confirmation of what we already know.

Redskins VP of player developement, and Washington Redskins legend, Doug Williams, said the team didn’t even discuss signing Colin Kaepernick due to potential repercussions from the White House. When I say the White House, I specifically mean Donald Trump.

Trump was already an open non supporter of the anthem protests, and with the Redskins residing within our nation’s capital, some sort of statement from Trump would’ve put a dent into a organization that was already undergoing a downfall.

It’a shame, but at least teams can now realize they made a mistake, and correct it.

Right?
