Colin Kaepernick still remains without an NFL team to call home. But with recent events occurring, and still going on throughout the country, teams who turned their backs before, are taking the chance to re-evaluate Kaepernick’s stance on the issues at hand, and are even exploring the possibility of adding him to their roster.
Kaepernick hasn’t played a down in the NFL since 2016, when he began to take a knee during the national anthem, explaining his actions as a protest against racism in the United States. After his release from the 49ers in 2017, Kaepernick didn’t receive much in the way of interest around the league, and has ultimately been a free agent since then.
Kaepernick worked out for around 8 teams in November of 2019, but from what we know, he still didn’t receive an opportunity to play for an NFL team.
