Rudy Gobert has had a year he most likely wants to forget. From making light of COVID-19 by touching all of the reporter’s microphones at a press conference to testing positive for it soon after and shutting down the NBA. Nw Gobert’s latest gaffe is on Twitter.
Gobert thought he was sharing a post by tennis star Serena Willimas. It turns out the post was made by a white woman with the same name (who identifies that she’s not that Serena Willimas in her profile), but it was enough to fool Gobert, and he tagged tennis’ Serena Williams in the post.
Twitter let Gobert know he made a mistake in the only way Twitter knows how, mass tolling.
Gobert soon deleted the tweet.
