I’m sure you all remember Drew Brees, and the crazy amount of criticism he received for his comments regarding national anthem protests. Brees then apologized for his statement, but not before a multitude of NFL players publicly expressed their desire to play against the future Hall of Famer in a not so respectful way.
After all of that, Donald Trump proceeded to criticize Brees’s apology, then proceeded to criticize his apology again.
In an interview with his son, Donald Trump Jr., the president even went as far as to say Brees “will regret” apologizing for his statements that caused so much chaos.
Weird.
