Video: Racetrack Owner Mike Fulps Cries After Losing Sponsors, Receiving Death Threats And Employees Quitting After ‘Bubba Rope’ Post

Mike Fulps who is the owner of 311 Speedway, a half-mile dirt track in Stokes County has been in hot water over a post he made on Facebook the day after the noose found in Bubba Wallace’s garage stall was ruled to have been there since 2019.

Fulps has been receiving death threats over the post.

“I’ve lost all but two of my sponsors,” Fulp told the News & Record. “I’m responsible. I’m responsible for trying to make some jokes. But the world is mad as hell right now.”

Fulps also said his family members, friends and employees have received death threats as well.
“I received death threats this week, all week long,” Fulp said. “People called and left messages, threatening me, threatening my mama, threatening my granddaughter. My girlfriend got threats. My employees got harassed. I had seven employees quit.
Fulps paused and said he is not racist then he broke down and began to cry.

“It breaks my heart, man,” Fulp said. “Because I see a lot of hate. I don’t want nobody to hate me. I’m not a bad dude.”
