Skylar Diggins and Yo Gotti Send Letter to Attorney General Asking That Racists Who Attempted to Lynch Vauhxx Booker Be Charged With Hate Crime

WNBA Phoenix Mercury guard Skylar Diggins put her political views on paper sending a letter to U.S Attorney General William Barr.

According to TMZ, the letter they retrieved from Diggins and Memphis rap artist Yo Gotti was on behalf of Vauhxx Booker, who was nearly lynched on video that sparked outrage on social media platforms during the Fourth of July weekend.

The horrifying video shows Booker held to a tree while demands for a noose by several white men surrounding him didn’t go as planned. Witnesses who were passing by were able to deescalate the incident that would’ve erupted in nonstop lootings, fires and marches Across the U.S had the bystanders didn’t notice.

Gotti and Diggins are a part of Roc Nation, who also operates in the realm of addressing hate crimes or any racial act that reflects the nightmare African Americans continue to face in today’s society. Gotti defends Diggins in his position to continue to push forward towards social change.

Diggins is currently in Bradenton, Florida alongside her teammates at the IMG Academy. The WNBA season tips off July 30th and players are allowed to wear social justice messages on the back of their jersey to honor victims.
