DeSean Jackson was 100% wrong in posting a fake Hitler quote. No matter the context, you can’t do that. There are much better ways to get your point across.
Jackson apologized and said he would get better. People like Malcolm Jenkins just wants to make sure that while you are speaking about Jackson you aren’t forgetting what is happening right now with Breonna Taylor, George Floyd and others. I know that people will point out that Jenkins didn’t brush aside Drew Brees’ comments, but those comments were in the wake of George Floyd. If Jackson’s post was in the middle of something that was happening in real time, I don’t think Jenkins would be posting this.
Unfortunately, from the comments on his IG post, I don’t think that it is coming across like that.
It is just a lot of division in this country and I don’t know when it is going to get better.
