In Colorado Springs, a cop was suspended for commenting ‘KILL THEM ALL’ on Black Lives Matter protestors’ video.
The Daily Mail reported “Sgt. Keith Wrede used the alias Steven Eric – complete with a profile picture of a #PoliceLivesMatter t-shirt – to post comments on the live stream video, which was shared on June 30 on Facebook. Wrede was suspended for 40 hours and incurred a loss of around $2,000 in earnings, but the sergeant has been allowed to keep his job following an internal investigation.”
The worse part about the situation is Wrede will remain employed due to an internal investigation. A 40-hour suspension with a loss of $2000 in earnings is what doesn’t sit right with many black folks that have a problem with Wrede’s comments.
The Daily Mail also reported “Wrede said that his ‘KILL THEM ALL’ comments made under the protest video had ‘nothing to do with Black Lives Matter; nothing at all. And I just want to be very clear about that. This is not motivated by race or bias.”
Wrede also said in his interview he was listening to heavy metal after leaving work “going crazy on Metallica’s ‘Kill ’em all’ on the way home.”
Any man who decides to keep his identity sealed without informing the public should tell black folks this man is a racist.
If Wrede’s comments weren’t motivated by race or bias, why would he even comment on a Black Lives Matter post to begin with? Would Wrede comment on a KKK post if he saw white men in their ghost-like costumes burning crosses?
