Video: Ravens Players on The Multiple Reasons They Wanted Earl Thomas Gone From The Team

Former Baltimore Raven Earl Thomas not only is a Texas native but a man who pissed off his teammates giving them a hard time on and off the field.

Bleacher Report Adam Wells reported “A 10-year veteran, Thomas became a free agent for the first time after the 2018 season. He joined the Ravens in March 2019, signing a four-year, $55 million contract that included $32 million guaranteed. Thomas started 15 games for Baltimore last season, recording 49 combined tackles and two sacks.”

According to NBC Sports, Thomas wasn’t liked by his teammates before his release. The repetitive actions were one of many that had his teammates even question his status.

“He had a pattern of being late, and in a recent practice, he made multiple assignment errors, causing defensive teammates to confront him about his preparedness. He missed at least one walk-through with no valid excuse,” King wrote.

No one knows the real or personal issues Thomas might’ve dealt with, but it’s certain whatever it was affected his ability to perform at a high level and maintain focus.

Not to mention his wife pulled a gun on him for catching him and his brother naked with some snapchat models.

The Ravens look to be back on top of the AFC North after finishing last season with a 14-2 record and loss to the Tennessee Titans in the Divisional Round. Without Thomas, the locker room will be a relief of accountability and smiles as the football season nears.
