NBA Hall of Famer and the legendary crossover killer Allen Iverson appeared on an episode of “All The Smoke” podcast with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. Iverson is the man who paved the way for black athletes to embrace themselves as someone who never bit his tongue and addressed the media even when it painted him as a “thug” unfortunately.
“It’s one guy, I know you know who I’m talking to. I know you hate me and trust me I don’t hate nobody. Yes I do, I hate you… The way you hate me, mother***** I hate you too,” Iverson told Jackson and Stephenson.
It’s funny despite Iverson’s contradiction on hate but he keeps it real regardless of who likes it or not.
Is it Stephen A. Smith? Smith covered Iverson in his earlier days and has a special bond so that’s not the guy. Whoever it is, I’m sure they better be ready when “The Answer” brings all the smoke and air out the name.
There has been a love and hate relationship between NBA players and the media since the glory days. While media members who are liked and given the opportunity to do exclusive interviews with high profile superstars, there are some who look to bring down athletes to build a name for themselves which burns one if not many bridges. It’s certain Iverson doesn’t need practice calling out the media member who has yet to reveal himself.
