The Rockets had yet another collapse in the playoffs and James Harden has another overall disappointing playoffs.
Fans and analysts have said it was time for a rebuild or time to trade Russell Westbrook or James Harden. Trading Russ wouldn’t necessarily mean the Rockets are rebuilding but if they traded Harden, they’d for sure be in rebuild mode.
Apparently, there are already suiters for Harden and he could be moving east.
According to NBC Sports analyst John Clark, the Sixers, who also had another disappointing playoffs, could potentially be a landing spot for the perennial MVP candidate. Former Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni is rumored to be the next Sixers head coach and if he is, he thinks he could convince the Rockets to trade away Harden.
The cost wouldn’t be cheap. It would likely take Ben Simmons, another starter not named Joel Embiid, and draft picks.
Either way, that would be a good trade for both teams.
