Cam Newton has just finished the worst 2 game stretch he’s ever had as a New England Patriot. Of course the sample size is ridiculously strong, but the last 2 games for the 2015 NFL MVP have been so bad, that it isn’t unreasonable to say these sort of things.
His first game off the COVID-10/Reserve list was a poor, and was probably the main factor in why the Patriots ended up losing to the Denver Broncos. His next game against the San Francisco 49ers was even worse. He threw 2 interceptions, finished with under 100 yards passing, and was benched in favor or Jarrett Stidham in the 4th quarter.
This week, after those 2 forgetful performances, Cam was asked what he’s learned most during his limited time in New England.
His answer? 100% on brand.
