Another Black boy is dead and this time…it wasn’t no Amber Alert issued.
15-year-old Quawan “Bobby” Johnson went missing and his body was found in a field per KLFY.
New evidence leaked in a phone recording from the mother Roxanne Nelson who was informed by a parent close to the white mom Johnson was last seen with.
“He did say whenever they picked up your son, him and his mother and the stepdad were all tripping on mushrooms. The ones that are poisonous, they make you trip out.”
The parent continued and said some horrific s*** that instantly would’ve made a parent heart drop.
“From what I could understand he told my son that they found your son’s body in a sugar cane field behind their house.”
This s*** is weird and when the white dad didn’t shed tears, it seemed odd. This is why Black folks need to evaluate parents regardless if their kids are cool with another parent’s son.
The mom tried to get the police to help but they were useless.
She flagged down a Baldwin police officer and told him that their teenager had gone missing. The officer gave a curious response.
“They brushed her off,” Charles family attorney Ronald Haley told The Root. “They told her things such as ‘Look, he’s probably at a football game; He’s probably with some friends.’ Basically, don’t worry about it.”
Roxanne continued to tell law enforcement officers that something was wrong, but according to Haley: “They just kept on getting collective indifference from, from law enforcement.”
