Momma look…we made it!
Last night was too much and nobody went all out like Isaac Okoro after the NBA Draft.
Never-mind Okoro three-point shooting because the one stat he excelled in Wednesday night was passing. Yes..he passed the the car keys instead of a basketball to his parents.
Okoro was selected the No. 5th pick in the NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers and will sign a four-year $29.1 million deal. He played at Auburn and averaged 12.9 points per game on 51.4% shooting from the field.
Just after the news was announced, Okoro surprised his parents with a brand new Range Rover with a gigantic red bow on it as a gift.
Okoro told his dad, “This is for you!”
It felt good seeing Black parents with tears of joy to see their sons get drafted all night long. It’s great but now that the gift are out of the way, Okoro can figure out how to manage his finances now since he’s worth millions.
