The Cleveland Browns sit at 8-3, and are looking well on their way towards securing their first playoff birth in 17 years.
Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt have combined to form a fearsome 1-2 punch in the backfield, and have been at the forefront of the offensive success for Cleveland.
But while the running game has been the major talking point for this football team, another topic of discussion is brewing in Cleveland, and it’s in no way positive.
Baker Mayfield has struggled once again this season, and this is with all the positive additions on the offensive side of the ball. His flawed mechanics have led to some awful throws from the pocket, and his decision making has simply left this offense in too many undesirable situations at times.
It’s those reasons and more that are fueling talk that the Browns could eventually move on from the 2018 #1 overall pick, which would leave the Browns in the hunt for once again, another potential franchise quarterback.
Colin Cowherd has banged on the table for years that Mayfield isn’t all that great, even when Mayfield was putting up extremely impressive numbers at Oklahoma, so you can bet he’s grinning every time Mayfield makes a mistake on the field.
Cowherd went on his show today, and dropped a little piece of significant “news” pertaining to Mayfield, and how crucial his performance against the Tennessee Titans this Sunday could potentially be.
