Doug McDermott Drops 28 Points Off Bench In Pacers Win Over Stagnant Hornets

Trust is the key to success if the Indiana Pacers want to make a statement with 18 games into the season.

On Wednesday night, the Pacers handed the Charlotte Hornets a tough 116-106 loss with four players scoring in double-figures.

Doug McDermott was a vital piece in lifting the Pacers dropping 28 points going 12-22 from the field. Malcolm Brogdon added 25 points shooting 57 percent from the three-point line.

McDermott struggled knocking down threes and relied on the drive to get the Pacers going attacking with open space.

The Pacers recorded a total of nine blocks and outscored the hornets in the paint with 50 points.

Domantas Sabonis had a dominant night getting his sixth career triple-double. Sabonis finished with 22 points, 10 assists and 11 rebounds.

On Friday, the Hornets will get another chance to split the regular season series 1-1 at home again.
