Jeff Passan Apologizes For Saying Hank Aaron Ignored Racism

The sports world mourned the loss of Hank Aaron today, one of the more notable legends in baseball and sports in general.

His impact on not just baseball, but the ability to succeed in Major League Baseball even through the despicable times of racism and hate left a positive mark on everyone who got the chance to not only know him, but the many people who admired his actions from afar.

ESPN MLB insider Jeff Passan was one of the many who mourned the loss of Hank Aaron, but he did so in a way that made a lot of people question him. Tweets, which are now deleted, detailed how Aaron “ignored” racism and hate during his illustrious career.

It was a poorly worded tweet from Passan, but one that didn’t have any sort of malice or ill intent, at least that’s what I thought.
